Many mythical creatures exist within the history of our imaginations. Some are known to us.

Others have been imagined as a result of creative collaborations of The Zarf. These wild creatures are Zarflings.

Below you will find many more Zarflings! These are exhibiting the ranges of emotions we all feel. Their life cycles change from docile to feral, and are inspired by the psychoevolutionary theory of emotion of Dr. Robert Plutchik and his Wheel of Emotions and HUMAINE’s proposal for EARL (Emotion Annotation and Representation Language). Their habitats represent the seasons, which can affect those who experience a condition called Seasonal Affective Disorder.
The Zarflings and their habitats were created by dozens of talented webcomic artists! Click or tap to see larger images.
